In one of the first (if not the first? I'm not sure) official response on the forums, they said stuff like: No one wanted multiplayer content or DLC at this point). People were pissed off for the reasons already mentioned, and then the response from the producer was basically him saying things like ' polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people' (so he's mistaking the outrage for polarization), ' debating what the endings mean' (the endings left very little room for speculation or interpretation), and then he goes on to say ' We have some really great multiplayer content and some really great single-player content coming over the air, (fan) feedback will become part of how we design that' (which is not at all what people were trying to accomplish. In the end, the choices you made throughout the series made tiny differences at the end and the major ending plot points were largely the same, regardless of what decisions you made earlier and/or at the end.Īnd then Casey Hudson's response was just terrible. There was a lot of talk about the final choices having very different results and being heavily dependent on your choices you had made through the entire series. One thing he doesn't really mention about why people disliked it, was the marketing done by BioWare (and Casey Hudson) regarding the ending of ME3.
